Don't Miss Out On These Winter Activities
Winter Wonderland
Cardiff’s much-loved Winter Wonderland will be returning this winter on November 16th. Located across two locations, Cardiff Castle and City Hall Lawn, packed with fun activities to do with your family and friends, you won’t want to miss this one!
You could go Ice Skating in the beautiful backdrop of Cardiff Castle or explore the festive food and drink stalls to get in the festive spirit.
Additionally, you could visit the famous funfair with its great range of attractions and hours of fun for all ages or enjoy the view of the city from the Giant Wheel. Don’t forget about the Ice Bar experience, where you can enjoy drinks at sub-zero temperatures, and the popular two-story ski bar to relax with a drink.
Christmas at Bute Park
Returning to Cardiff this Christmas is Bute Park’s light trail. With promises of it being even better than last year, this is a must-visit this winter. With immersive visuals and illuminations, it became one of Cardiff’s top attractions last year.
With the added perk of finishing the trail at the Christmas Village and a range of exceptional street food, all supplied by small, independent businesses in the local area, it really does have it all. It is a great activity to do with your loved ones and the perfect way to get into the Christmas Spirit.
Christmas Markets
The Christmas Markets will return to Cardiff this winter on November 9th. After running every year for almost 30 years, there will be a range of new and returning exhibitors. They create original, handmade work ready for their markets, making Cardiff Christmas Markets unique to others, giving you yet another reason to visit this year’s markets.
All are located across the main shopping pedestrian areas in Cardiff City Centre: St John Street, Working Street, Trinity Street and Hills Street. This gives you the perfect opportunity to take a break from Christmas shopping and experience the magic of the markets.
Christmas Pantomime
The annual family pantomimes are back this Christmas in Cardiff, with interactive West-End style musicals Peter Pan and Jac and The Beanstalk. They are guaranteed fun for all the family and a great way to kick-start the fun of Christmas festivities.
Situated in The New Theatre, Cardiff, Jac and The Beanstalk is being shown all the way from December 9th until January 7th; there is no excuse to miss this over the Christmas season.
