What’s On in Cardiff This Autumn
The fun doesn’t just stop in Summer, especially in Cardiff this year, as there are so many events happening in Autumn for you to look forward to! Whether you’re interested in dressing up for some drinks and dancing on tables with friends at the annual Oktoberfest, or whether you’re already training for Cardiff’s Half Marathon, there is plenty for you to do as the nights get shorter and the days get colder!
Kicking Off Our Autumn In Cardiff...
Kicking off the Autumn festivities in Cardiff Bay is N-Dubz with their open-air show on September 8th. The concert will be in Alexandra Head, and it’s set to be N-Dubz biggest yet – so don’t miss out!
Secondly, we have Cardiff’s Half Marathon set to go ahead on October 1st between the hours 10 am-2:30 pm, and the crowds are anticipated to be huge as this is Wales’ largest mass participation event and the UK’s second largest half marathon. If you’re up for the challenge, start training now and participate in one of Cardiff’s most significant annual events.
Of course, like every other year, the annual Oktoberfest will run nationwide throughout October. Still, it is set to be bigger and better in Cardiff this year, located in the VSA Warehouse, Cardiff, on September 30th. Tickets are almost sold out, and they’re already on their third release, so you better act fast if you want to be a part of one of the biggest fancy dress events of the year!
Towards the end of October, James Martin will be cooking up a storm at his live show in the Wales Millenium Centre after selling out his 2022 show, where 30,000 people witnessed the magic of making up mouth-watering recipes, as well as him showcasing his ability to make ‘the biggest and best bacon and cheese butty’.
To End Your Autumn In Cardiff...
As we head into November, the hustle and bustle continues as the Christmas lead-up begins with the Cardiff Christmas Markets opening on November 9th 2023.
Sister Act also comes to Cardiff in November between the 13th and 18th in the Wales Millennium Centre. Not to mention, the biggest day for wine of the year, Beaujolais Day, will be returning in various bars and restaurants on November 16th this year. Last but certainly not least, for November, Shrek the Musical will be taking place in the Wales Millennium Centre from November 20th until the 25th, so be sure to grab your tickets for an unforgettable evening!
As we move into December, the Christmas festivities and people’s Christmas spirit will undoubtedly increase, meaning everyone’s favourite, Christmas at Bute Park, will return. Wales’ biggest festive light trail will be running up until January 1st 2024, and is set to be bigger and brighter than in 2022, and we all know how quickly the tickets sold out last year, so don’t hold back on getting yours ready for the festive season this year!
